Local business owners and volunteers from the Lehighton Downtown Partnership (LDP) are organizing extra fun on the Second Saturday of each month throughout the summer. Second Saturday promotions are hosted every month and are a day to show your love for Lehighton. The next second Saturday promotion is scheduled for Saturday July 9, 2022 with a theme of “Follow the Force.”
The Lehighton Downtown Farmers Market is hosted at the Lehighton Downtown Park (the one with the fountain) from 9 am – 12 pm every Saturday. On July 9th there will be live music, fresh local produce, themed crafts for the children, photo ops, vendors and more. After enjoying the market, guests are invited to stick around, visit the shops and restaurants and meet different ‘Follow The Force’ themed as they visit the shops in our downtown area. Please feel free to dress the part in your favorite character garb.
In the evening there will be a free movie in the upper park, thanks to our sponsor Lehigh Valley Hospital – Carbon. The movie is from another galaxy and starts at dusk in the amphitheater. Refreshments will be available for sale including fresh popped popcorn and drinks!
