Entering its 13th year, the annual Bluegrass & Heritage Festival will be held at Mauch Chunk Lake Park on Sept. 14.
The event will run from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. and feature live entertainment, craft and food vendors and historical exhibits. Admission is $5 per person, and free for children ages 12 and under.
There will be a variety of food including hot dogs, hamburgers, french fries, pierogies, pulled-pork sandwiches, ribs, corn on the cob and soup, as well as other festival favorites including funnel cake, ice cream and fruit smoothies.
Musical acts include Texas Rose, Scott Eager and High Lonesome Sound, Jay Smar, Grillbillie Project, Coal County Express and Free Range Folk.
There will be kids’ activities including hayrides. Camping is also available onsite at the park.
Mauch Chunk Lake Park is located two miles from the historic district in Jim Thorpe. Proceeds raised during the event will go toward the park’s operating costs.
