The Mauch Chunk Museum and Cultural Center is pleased to announce the 2019 – Totally Steampunk Event.
The event is set to take place November 2nd from 6 to 11pm in The Ballroom at the Mauch Chunk Museum and Cultural Center. Ticket price will include: Buffet style dinner, one signature cocktail, admission to the Museum exhibit during the weekend (Nov 1-3 only between 11 and 5), the personalities and music of The Eternal Frontier, a Tea Duelling with Dolly and Birdie and magic with Nate Heater.
The evening is designed to be a part of the annual Victorian Heritage events sponsored by the Mauch Chunk Museum and Cultural Center. With the focus on Steampunk the Museum staff and board are pleased to encourage guests to explore the heritage of Mauch Chunk and explore the area as an outpost of the Industrial revolution. From the canals, to the Switchback Gravity Railroad, and the coal mines, but not forgetting the advancements and machines that were created during the Victorian Era, Jim Thorpe is clearly a town to celebrate and the perfect location for our event.
Several local restaurants, stores, and shops will be participating in the weekend long extravaganza. Look for the posters in the windows with shiny gears to know that the business is participating.
