Kidder Hike and Bike Trail Group, part of The Lake Harmony Watershed Preservation Group presents the Float Your Boat Competition! This fundraising event is to help raise money for the Lakes Loop Trail at Lake Harmony.
Build a cork boat with your family, friends or co-workers. Original designs only! Boats must be a minimum of 6” in length and a maximum of 24”. They must be made primarily of corks, tooth picks, straws, bamboo skewers or popsicle sticks and they must float. Boats can be as ornate or simple as you want. Paper or cloth sails are permissible.
Participants will not be allowed to touch their boat during the race but can get in the water and move the water with their hands or blow on the sails. Only 2 team members at a time can be in the water.
There are 4 Race Categories: Adult teams; Family teams; Individuals and Corporate teams. Come out and join the fun and support the trail project!
Entry Fees are $25 for individuals and $35 for Teams with all proceeds benefiting the trail project.
Awards and prizes include: Big Boulder and Jack Frost Ski Resort pass; Jack Frost Golf; $300 cash for team that raises the most money; Gift certificates to local restaurants; Wine baskets and more.
Prize Categories: Best of Show; Fastest Boat in each race category; Funniest Boat & Crew; Best Team Boat & crew
