The Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival Celebrates it’s 7th Anniversary April 18-21
Now in its 7th fantastic year, the Jim Thorpe Independent Film Festival returns to the Mauch Chunk Opera House, April 18-21, 2024. Once again, we are proud to invoke the rebellious spirit of the Molly Maguires, inviting the boldest, most defiant filmmakers to screen their work, shatter convention, and incite spirited debate.
Our credo is “Eyes and Minds Wide Open” and we mean it. And for our 7th season, we’ll continue our mission, with live in-person-only screenings of the newest cutting-edge films from around the globe, including a slew of US and Pennsylvania premieres that you won’t see anywhere else.
In the coming weeks, we’ll be announcing our entire festival program including our special Opening Night feature, surprise guests, live musical performances presented by Great Circles – our innovative Philadelphia music partners, and of course, details about the hottest party of the year – the fabulous Filmmakers Gala.
Saturday at Midnight, we’ll continue our notorious Grindhouse program, so prepare yourselves for a twisted mix of over-the-top films that not only push the envelope but rip it to shreds.
The 7th year of JTIFF is guaranteed to be the biggest and best fest ever, so strap yourself in and get ready for an awesome ride.
