2. a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.

Have you ever dreamed or thought over and over about a desire? Something you have really wanted. Something you never thought you would attain. Maybe a change of career, a vacation, or improved health?
As a healing arts practitioner of thirty years, I incorporate energy work into sessions at the client’s request. During a session of energy healing, the topic of daily focus came up. Ask you self this question, “how would my day be different if I set a positive intention?”
You may be wondering what that means? A positive intention is a thought we commit to our self, a positive purpose for what is currently happening or that we want to have happen.
An example would be – “Today, I will eat healthy food and drink six glasses of water.”
It could be as simple as – “Today, I will practice kindness, smile and find a positive thing to say to the people I come in contact with.”
Make sure it is genuine and from your own heart. Choose an intention that will make you feel happy!
Our practice this month is to begin to start to each day when you wake with a few conscious breaths. Before picking up an electronic device, choose a positive thought or intention to focus on. You may want to jot it down on a sticky note or even write it on your mirror with a marker. (they wipe of easily)
