Wildlife in Need
Thursday, March 5, 6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
The Wildlife in Need Response of PA (WIN) program is a statewide telephone answering/dispatch system for injured, sick and orphaned wildlife within the state of Pennsylvania. The program is managed by a group of volunteer “Wildlife Couriers” who help distressed wildlife get to properly permitted rehabilitation centers like CCEEC.
Couriers do not engage in potentially risky wildlife captures, which require additional training and permitting. Instead they spend most of their time shuttling cardboard boxes containing already-secured small birds and mammals.
If you think you’d like to join this volunteer network, come learn more about it at this program, open to ages 18 and up.
