In the comic books (and the Marvel and DC movies that have come from them), superheroes can accomplish seemingly impossible, amazing things.
The challenges that the world, your city, your workplace, and your family are facing are unprecedented, and governments’ responses have shown that they aren’t equipped to be the superheroes that are going to save us.
We need to step up to the plate to save ourselves, and we need to develop and deploy next-level strategies to do so. These unprecedented times call for unprecedented measures.
While you and I aren’t going to jump over tall buildings like Superman or swing between them like Spider-Man, is it possible that you can overcome the bad guys like Batman does with a particular set of skills you develop?
Recent history shows you can, but how do you do it?
The “be do have” formula is the best one to apply to upgrade your skills to the superhero level.
In order to have the results you want, you need to do things that will produce those results, and believe the things that are in alignment with the actions you want to take.
Here’s an example of how to apply the “be do have” formula to your and your family’s health:
Have: What results do you want? To be healthy so your body can overcome any virus it encounters, and to avoid your immune system being weakened by fear.
Do: What actions will produce your desired results? Taking vitamins, optimizing your diet, and exercising to boost your immune system.
Be: What thoughts and beliefs will lead to the actions you want to take? First, deciding that you are 100% responsible for your health, and thinking positive thoughts about your body being strong so it can overcome viruses.
Here’s a way I’ve applied the “be do have” formula to become a superhero to my 2 sons:
For the first 12 years I was a parent, I used the threat of punishment to get my kids to be obedient.
I did a rite of passage into manhood ceremony for each of my sons, and after their ceremonies I told them I was no longer going to tell them what to do as they were now young men; instead I would advise them as an older man advises younger men on making wise decisions.
I honored my word and stopped using fear of punishment to get my desired actions from them, and an amazing thing happened: they stopped rebelling against me, as there was no force to rebel against.
I want to have children that are responsible and wise, and as I changed my parenting to lead from love instead of fear (who I was being as a dad), my relationship with my kids improved greatly and they now take full responsibility for their lives, confident in their ability to deal with any challenge.
If you own your own company, you manage others, you work directly with clients, or you’re a stay at home parent, you are a leader… and you now have the opportunity to be a superhero to those you lead.
Lead them from a place of love instead of fear, humility instead of pride, and abundance instead of scarcity, and the great things you accomplish will make you a superhero to them.
The world needs your next-level leadership; are you ready to now accept the challenge and put on your cape?
