There is still time to sign up for the Care Net of Carbon County 5K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday June 1, 2019 at the Penn Forest Township Recreational Park along Route 903, Jim Thorpe. Registration forms and sponsor forms are available online at carenetcarbon.org for this Spring fundraising event benefiting this faith based non-profit ministry located in Lehighton and Nesquehoning.
Care Net is a life affirming community resource providing support to those facing pregnancy, and encouraging healthy choices in sexuality, relationships, and parenting. Clients are served without cost and without regard to age, race, income, nationality, religious affiliation, disability, or other arbitrary circumstances. Care Net exists to build healthy families through education and support. Funds raised will help initiate Ultrasound services in Nesquehoning.
Registration fee for adults is $30 after May 1. $15 for children under 12. Each participant will receive a t-shirt with custom logo, energy bar, water and a unique Finishers Medal. On the day of the event check-in will start at 10:00am and the Run/Walk begins at 11:00am. We encourage each participant to solicit sponsor donations and become eligible to earn a prize for the highest dollar amount raised. Care Net is also seeking business sponsors to offset expenses for this event. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase on that day.
