After 25 years in business, MM Design is moving to 68 Broadway in Downtown Jim Thorpe, in the building with Mauch Chunk Ink. The new boutique is one block east (closer to the Train Station) and across the street from owner Marianne Monteleone’s former 97 Broadway location.
The design business will be housed in the second room accessible through the front door and hallway, and through the private side entrance in the cute little alley on the west side of the building.
This intimate space will house Marianne’s signature collection produced in the Lehigh Valley and the new addition of one of a kind items from recycled clothing. Some of the reborn garments will be sewn by Marianne herself, using fabrics from her private collection – from antique feed sacks to hand painted leather – embellishing high quality, lovingly worn garments.
Aiming for more casual items are the Inoah and Yasuko tees and a new Batik collection.
Stop in soon to see the new MMD! Friday 11-5, Saturday 11-5, Sunday 11-4
